For Anne

This is a post for my friend Anne who passed away last week.  She is now at peace.

Anne loved my cards and I made this simple card for her family.

I have used the SAB Lotus Blossom and Thoughts & Prayers stamp sets.

The cardstock used was Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive and Whisper White.

The SAB Lotus Blossom stamp set is a two step stamp set so the inks used were Blackberry Bliss/Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive/Mossy Meadow for the stem.

Here is my card:

Anne's card 2

I stamped the blossom on the inside of the card and also used another sentiment from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set which reads:

Praying for friends to comfort you, faith to uphold you and

loving memories to heal your heart

I think I need to make this card as much as I needed to make it Anne’s Family.

Rest in Peace my dear friend.

I is for Inspire

Hi and welcome back.

Just a quick post to tell you about our new challenge at ABC Challenges for the next two weeks.

Our theme is "I for Inspire Us" and our fabulous sponsor is The Paper Shelter.

I have used a super cute image called "Arr" from The Paper Shelter and the image has been coloured in with Copic Markers.

This cute image is a little boy dressed up as Pirate so after colouring him in, I decided he needed his own ship to sail.

So I did a rough drawing of a ship on Naturals Ivory cardstock and cut it out.  Then layered some paper over the bottom, created a mast and added the sail.

I also added some other paper, a sea gull from Scrapmatts CB1221 Nautical Designs was daubered with some Crumb Cake ink , a few pearls and scalloped eyelet punched border.

The papers used were Authentique Seasons Collective “Summer One” #SEA009 and Graphic 45 By the Sea Collection “My Anchor #4500903”.

Here is my card:

abc I

The lace is the Sahara Sand 7/8” Lace Trim and the sentiment is from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set which has been stamped in Midnight Muse (retired) and punched out with a small Oval Punch (retired).

Here is a close up of the image:
