It all starts with “S”

Our challenge over at Crafty Creations for the next two weeks is an “S” challenge and we would love you join us.

I have tried to use a few different “S” on my card and have included Stripes, Swirls, Stitched Ribbon, Script text, Spring theme and I think “Sweet”.  Because this image from Wild Rose Studio’s called Bella with Daisy is so sweet and cute.

The image is a new purchase and I wanted to use it straight away, so I have stamped it and then coloured it with Copic.  The image was die cut using a die from the Ovals Collection and then layered on to Basic Grey cardstock that has been die cut using the Nestabilities Opulent Oval die – new too and love it!

The script text is the En Francais background stamp and the butterflies have been die cut/embossed using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die. I have also raided my stash and found flowers, retired DSP and textured card stock. Plus I have used the Scallop Edge Punch.

The layout of my card has been inspired by the current sketch at Sketchy Colours Challenge.

Here is my card:

CAGI – Lots of Layers

Hello and thanks for visiting my little creative corner.

Lots of Layers

now if you love layers we would love you join us and you can be in the running to win a prize from our Sponsors and there are three!!  We are lucky to have our challenge sponsored by Fitztown, Paper Shelter and Art by Miran.

I have used one of my own images from Paper Shelter.  This is a pre-coloured image and pre-coloured co-ordinating Digital Paper.  The image is called Everyone Can Fly.

The background image was printed on Whisper White cardstock two times and I have used one layer as the background and then parts of the second copy on top of the scalloped edge Tangerine Tango cardstock.

The die cut used is the Windows Framelit Die and the butterflies are from my favourite Embossing Die Beautiful Wings.

I have cut the butterfly out from a second copy of the image and used a dimensional to pop it up.  Of course there is bling too!

Holly Jolly – Anything but a Card

Hello and welcome.

This week at Holly Jolly we are creating Christmas projects which are Anything but a Card.

We have two sponsor’s too – Di’s Digi’s & Digi Stamps 4 Joy for our challenge so we would love you to join us!

Now my project, well I don’t know about you but when I have to think about creating Anything but a Card it can be hard to just narrow it down to one thing.

So I went searching through my old links and pinterest boards and found a project that I have wanted to try but haven’t had time.

The project I found at  Stempleinmaleins, click here to view and it is Christmas Cutlery holders.

This is a great quick project to use some of your Christmas paper stash and you could even personalise them.

Here is my project with Cutlery

The paper used was a recent gift and I have used the swirl stamp from the retired Baroque Motifs – yes I couldn’t part with it yet.

The flower & lace are from my stash and the leaves have been created with a little SU die called Little Leaves Sizzlits.  The other dies used are some Ovals from the SU Ovals Collection Dies and one of the dies from Marianne Dies LR0240 (Petra’s Large Oval Die).  Plus I have used the small oval punch.

Mother’s Day

We have a quiet and relaxed Mother’s Day this year.

As  Mum is on crutches still after breaking her ankle and my Daughter had a soccer game at midday the morning was very quiet.  The Autumn weather was warm in the sun so it was lovely to sit and watch Charlize’s game.

We then went and had coffee and later a lovely dinner together.

I hope that all the Mother’s everywhere have also had a lovely day!!

I just wanted to share with you my card I made for Mum, quite simple and I just adore the sentiment.  The stamp set is a retired stamp set called Blessed Mother and the sentiment was punched out using the Decorative Label punch.

The larger butterflies were punched out using the Elegant Butterfly punch and then I layered some smaller butterflies which had been die cut and embossed using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die.

Here is my card:

P1010945_edited-1

The splatter is from the one of the stamps from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and has been stamped in Chocolate Chip and retired Regal Rose ink.  This set is great for creating male cards too.

The last touch a little bling on the butterflies!.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The Squirrel and The Fox Challenge - #69 Mother’s Day

Die Cut Divas Monthly Challenge – A Die & Use at least one embellishment

Digital Christmas

Wow May already – where is this year going!

Want to get a head start on your Christmas cards then join us this week at Holly Jolly.

We have two sponsors Bugaboo & Stamp and Create.

The theme is really easy to:

Traditional Colours

I have used a Kraftin’ Kimmie image called “Christmas Clara”.

Kraftin’ Kimmie images are sold at Stamp and Create but I think this particular image maybe retired.

But nevertheless I had fun using this image for the first time and have created a fairly clean layout with some snowflakes, ribbon, bling and a sentiment.

I have used a Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Labels Eight dies, the Martha Stewart Winter Snow punch and the SU Modern Label punch.  The DSP is from by stash.

The cardstock and ribbon are Real Red.

Here is my card:
