The theme is Masculine Christmas and our challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo.

The layout of my card is inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch and I have used the classic Marina Mist with some retired DSP, a little bling and a bright red bow.

Get ready for the Holidays at CCC

This week our challenge at Crafty Creations is to get ready for the Holidays with projects for American Thanksgiving or Christmas Celebrations.

I have created a card using the Christmas image from the Tag It stamp set and I have used the Chalkboard Technique to create a CAS style card.

The inspiration for the layout has been taken from the current challenge over at Muse Card Club.  I loved the simple style of the card and the blackboard look.  My pop of colour is the base cardstock.  Check it out if you get a chance.

Here is my card:

Another non-traditional colour with a bow and some gems.  Something different and a technique I think I will use with some other images.

Warm Christmas

Our new challenge over at Holly Jolly this week is to create a warm scene like beach theme or use warm colours when creating a Christmas project.

I have decided to choose warm colours for my card and I have masked an area of the card and sponged So Saffron, More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Real Red on Whisper White.

I then stamped in Chocolate Chip the snowflakes from the Snow Flurry set and added a Christmas sentiment from the More Merry Messages stamp set.

Of course I added bling and a bow.

Here is my card

P1010715_edited-1

At first I was going to stamp the sentiment straight on but then I added it on an angle as I wanted it to almost be drifting with the snowflakes down the card.

This is certainly non-traditional and I had fun creating it!

I would like to enter the card into the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time Challenge = #190 Anything Goes

Fresh Brewed Design Monthly Challenge – Snow/Christmas

Lady Bug Crafts Monthly Challenge – Autumn Colours

Treasured Times Challenge - #15 Non-Traditional Christmas colours

Creative Corner Challenge – Let it Snow

CAGI Christmas Gifts

We are so close to Christmas and our new challenge over at Come and Get It is perfect for this time of year.

The challenge is Christmas Gifts.

My believe is that a Christmas Gift is all about the thought, so for my project I have created some Gift Bags.

I used some white gift bags from my stash and created these cute little bags which will be perfect for hold my gifts in this Christmas.

Here is a picture of all three gift bags and I have placed a little white tissue paper inside each bag too:

P1010707_edited-1

here is a close up of the Elve Legs bag and I used the Top Note Die, some retired DSP and sponging to create this bag:

P1010709_edited-1

and the last two bags were created using some retired DSP and Silver Glitter Paper and a scallop edge punch:

P1010708_edited-1 P1010711_edited-1

O’ Christmas Tree

It is hard to believe that Christmas is so close – I really need to plan my Christmas shopping.

This week’s Challenge at Holly Jolly is themed around the Christmas Tree.

So if you are creating and have a Christmas Tree on your card – please join us!!

I recently purchased the Craft Stamper Magazine and Chrissie Stokes created a lovely looking one layer card, so Chrissie’s card has has inspired my project for this weeks challenge.

I masked the bottom of the card and then stamped the En Francais stamped over to one side in Versamark.  Then I sponged Bashful Blue and Perfect Plum over the embossing.  The Christmas tree from the Snow Swirled stamp set was then stamped over the sponging in Perfect Plum.

I stamped 3 little stars on the tree in Bashful Blue and added some bling and ribbon.  The sentiment is from the Peaceful Wishes stamp set.

Here is my card:

Gift Card Holder

For the new challenge at Come and Get It this week we are challenging everyone to create “Gift Card Holders”.

For Christmas and Birthday’s gift card holders are a great way to add an individual touch.  Our challenge is also sponsored by Bugaboo, so if you are currently making some gift card holders or feel up to the challenge, we would love you share with us!

I have gone very girly with my project and used a Very Vintage jumbo wheel for my stamping – love this wheel it has a beautiful pattern.  Plus of course I have also added some butterflies and bling.

The template for this holder was found via Pinterest Patty Bennett Stamps.

CCC - Autumn Colours

We have an Autumn Colours challenge over at Crafty Creations this week and the challenge is also sponsored by Beccy’s Place.

I have used one of Beccy’s images and have tried my hand at using the Copic Markers again.  I am fairly happy with the end result, I just need to find a little more time to play a bit more :)

After I had the image coloured, I struggled so much with the layout but in the end I went with a fairly CAS style with some bling and a ribbon.

Here is my card

CAGI Sketch

Hi everyone this week Judy is hosting our challenge at Come and Get It and she has a great sketch for you to try!

The colours my card have been inspired by photo inspiration at CASE Study. I love the picture and I have taken a few elements, the swirls from the photo frame, the flowers from the table and soft look of the back ground fabric strips.

Plus the whole scene to me is very inviting and makes me think that some close friends are coming over to share some laughs and stories.
