CAGI Colour Challenge

Hi everyone, I am back from my trip to Melbourne to see my Sister and her family and also watch my three nieces dance in a competition in Ballarat.  So we travelled quite a bit.

They all danced wonderfully and I am very proud to them.  After catching up on some sleep I am back in the swing of things creating again before I start my new job this week. So it is all happening and all very exciting.

The first card I have created is for the Come and Get It colour challenge for this week.

We are challenging you to use some warm colours  - Red, Brown and Orange.

I have done some sponging with the three colours to create a background for the silhouette stamp.  The silhouette stamp was stamped in Whisper White and then embossed with clear embossing powder.

Here is my card

CAGI on the Side

At Come and Get It This week, Shell is hosting and the challenge this week is to add your focal image to the side of your creation.

I have used the current sketch at Try Stampin on Tuesday blog and the colours were inspired by the current challenge at Pals Paper Arts.  I just had to find a stamp.

In the end I chose the Swallowtail butterfly stamp which had been sitting there un-ink and layered a section of the image.

Here is my take on the sketch:

Crafty Creations Kraft Challenge

This week I am hosting the challenge over at Crafty Creations and the challenge is to Get Krafty.  So may mean add some Kraft coloured cardstock, some felt or what ever you choose.

I decided to use some Crumb Cake (Kraft) cardstock and I also raided my stash and found some flowers that had a Kraft colour tone to them.

I have again been playing with my copic markers and used them to colour this gorgeous image. Still learning the shadows and blending but you have to start somewhere and they say practice helps.

The layout for my card was inspired by the current sketch at Sunday Sketch and Stamp and the colours were inspired by the challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity.

Baby Shower Card

I have been at a Baby Shower this afternoon and need a card to take with me.

As I have added some colours to my Copic Marker stash and I wanted to use a new Bugaboo image I received, I went hunting for a sketch.

I love sketches and I found the current Freshly Made Sketch which suited the image I wanted to use.

As Jessica knows that she is having a little girl, so I raided my retired DSP stash and found some paper that I thought fitted perfectly. I also added a touch of the Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details to the wings and bugs antenna.

Here is the card that I created:

I recently won some images from Bugaboo and one of the images I received is a Monster image so I have used this image on my card to create a funky little person card.  I have also been playing a little more with my Copic markers, yet another addictive item from the craft world that I have found.

Holly Jolly Anything but a Card

Over at Holly Jolly our challenge is to create something for Christmas but no a card.

So get out those 3D projects you have been keeping for closer to Christmas and get ahead start.

I have created a little box for some tags, I created with some retired DSP and the retired Two Tags Die.

Here is a shot of the box which at the moment does not have a handle because I could not decide if I wanted it made out of cardstock or ribbon.

P1010608_edited-1

and here with one of the tags.  I think I should be able to get about 10 tags in each box.
